Nervous system support for women ready to feel at home in their bodies
“Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than fear, everything shifts.”
~Bessel van der Kolk
Welcome to Freedom Healing Arts – a space for somatic healing in Bakersfield, California.
If you feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of, you’re not broken. You nervous system may simply be doing its best to protect you.
I’m Lindsay, a trauma-informed Somatic Guide in Bakersfield, California. I’m so glad you’re here.
I support women in reconnecting with their bodies, regulating their nervous systems, and healing through gentle, body-based practices rooted in safety, consent, and attunement.
Healing doesn’t start with fixing. It starts with feeling safe enough to slow down and listen to the wisdom of your own body.
What is somatic healing?
Somatic healing is body-based support that works directly with the nervous system.
Instead of only talking about what happened, we listen to how your body holds stress, trauma, and protective patterns – and we move at a pace that feels safe.
In our sessions in Bakersfield and beyond, we may explore: Nervous system regulation tools; Gentle body awareness practices; Trauma-sensitive movement; IFS-inspired Parts-informed reflection; Boundaries and consent.
This work is slow, respectful, and deeply honoring of your nervous system.
Who I Support:
I work with women in Bakersfield and surrounding areas who are experiencing: Anxiety or chronic overwhelm; Burnout or emotional exhaustion; Unresolved trauma or stress; Disconnection from their bodies; Compassion fatigue; Major life transition; Identity shifts; A longing to feel more alive, embodied, free, and empowered.
You don’t need to explain or justify your pain. Your nervous system already tells the story.
Everything you need is within. Let’s go there together to bring you back to yourself.
